In a career spanning 40 years, David Nash has created sculptures out of wood and bronze, many of them monumental in scale. Nash's wood sculptures are sometimes carved or partially burned to produce a charred surface. His bronze works are cast at fine art foundries from original wood sculptures, which would otherwise not last well outside due to the intricacies of their form.
The Temperate House is the largest surviving Victorian glasshouse in the world, covering 4,880 square metres and extending to 19 metres high.
