Adopt a seed for £25 - choose your species

Each of us is capable of preserving plants and preserving life on earth. Plants provide the source of all life: oxygen, food, cures against diseases, people’s livelihoods and of course, beauty.

With four plant species a day at risk of disappearing forever, it’s never been more urgent to protect the endangered plants which may be key to our survival. For £25 you can adopt the seed of an endangered plant species to protect their existence, or you can save an entire plant species from extinction by raising at least £1000. An amazing achievement – by ourselves or together with other people.

In return, we will recognise your support with an Adoption Pack containing a certificate and a picture of the plant species you’re supporting. You will also receive regular updates from Kew's Millennium Seed Bank, so you can follow the progress of the important conservation work you’re helping to fund.
