Weddings in the Mansion
The combination of the fabulous backdrop of Wakehurst Place and the 16th Century Mansion provide wedding couples and private clients with a memorable venue to celebrate their special occasion.
A Grade 1 listed Heritage building, the Mansion was formerly owned by Lord Wakehurst and later the Price family, before being bequeathed to the National Trust and then later leased to Kew.
As part of your venue hire you will have exclusive use of the Gallery, Hallway and the Dining Room. Both rooms can accommodate up to 60 guests each for dining with the possibility of the rooms opening up to be used as one larger space for up to 120 guests.
The light and airy Gallery displays botanical art and is Licensed for Civil Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships for up to 60 guests.
The adjoining Dining Room's grand wood panelled walls and ornamental wood carved fire place create a lavish atmosphere for a seated wedding breakfast for up to 60 guests.
Both rooms open onto a formal lawn, which will be sectioned off from the public, where guests can sip champagne on arrival or between your ceremony and wedding breakfast. Alternatively, the Hallway makes a warm and inviting drinks reception space during colder months.
"Weddings in the marquee"
Set on the croquet lawn our marquee site allows for wedding breakfasts for up to 150 people seated or 200 people for evening reception. Venue hire for a marquee includes the use of the Mansion so guests can still enjoy the stunning backdrop. For full prices and further details please contact the event team.
