London Corporate Events Venue
The Sir Joseph Banks Building was built in 1985 under the Directorship of E A Bell and is one of Kew’s most contemporary buildings. The architect was commissioned to design a building that would minimise energy use and house the 85,000 artefacts that make up Kew’s Economic Botany Collection.
The building is named after Sir Joseph Banks, who was Kew’s unofficial director during the late 18th century and is widely recognised as one of the most important individuals in Kew Gardens’ history.
The West Wing of the Sir Joseph Banks Building is a bespoke subterranean space that is suitable for both daytime and evening events. Large windows within the event space overlook the surrounding lake at water level, which provide a tranquil setting and an abundance of natural daylight for your event.
Entry to the venue is through the private Atrium entrance, which may be used to welcome guests, or for delegate registration. A nearby lawn area may be used for outdoor drinks and canapés.
