This section has all you'll need to be able to organise your own Thinking Walk - long or short, big or small!
There are three Thinking Walks available for use:
Amazing Adaptations - discover how plants are adapted to their surroundings
Seed Search - explore the ways that plants disperse their seeds
Plant Spy - uncovering the parts of the plant and what they do
There are pre-designed boards with images and text already completed so you can just 'pick them up and go' and templates that you can adapt to tell the stories specific to your site.

These are useful boards to find out more about the Great Plant Hunt, Darwin and his Sandwalk. They are best placed near the beginning of the walk to help set the scene.

These are optional, extra activities for participants to do before, during or after the Thinking Walk. They offer a good way for spreading the flow of participants around the route and are also designed to be stand alone activities outside of Thinking Walks. These activities are taken from the primary schools' Great Plant Hunt Teachers' Handbook.

Registration is free and takes about 24 hrs to activate. Once you are registered you can login and input your event.
NB. Please use the words Thinking Walk in your event title e.g. 'Plant Spy Thinking Walk' so that members of the public can easily search for your event. We can also then track how many public Thinking Walks are taking place throughout the UK in 2009. Thank you.
