Remember to add Gift Aid

UK taxpayers can Gift Aid donations and membership by ticking the Gift Aid box on the membership or donation form. This allows Kew to claim a further 25p for every £1 you give from HM Revenue & Customs, at no additional cost to you, provided you pay sufficient income tax. Under the Gift Aid scheme, if you give £100, Kew will receive £125.

When making a donation online, you will be asked to confirm whether or not you are a UK taxpayer.

If you prefer to post a donation, please use this form and complete the Giftaid It section

UK taxpayer benefits with the Charities Aid Foundation

UK taxpayers can make tax effective gifts through the Charities Aid Foundation.

Make a gift with your UK self assessment tax form

If you are a higher-rate UK taxpayer you can benefit by claiming back some tax through your annual self assesment tax return. For example, by becoming a Patron of Kew, making an annual gift of £1,000, you could be entitled to claim a further £200 from the Inland Revenue. Your gift to Kew would cost you £600.

If you are due a tax refund you can gift this to Kew through your Self Assessment tax return by completing form SA100. Our charity code is YAP82JG.

For further information on tax effective giving, please refer to the Directgov website.

Kew is taking part in the 'Big Give Christmas Challenge'

09 Nov 2012
This year, Kew is taking part in the 'Big Give Christmas Challenge', a campaign to encourage philanthropic giving by matching a donors’ gift. Effectively your donation to the Millennium Seed Bank Partnership could be doubled! We need to raise £50,000 for next year’s seed collecting trips, as well as expanding our work on using existing collections. Please note: This campaign ran from 6 to 19 December 2012 and has now finished.
