Our volunteering programme for business promotes personal development and team building

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to support Kew by becoming a gardener for the day!

Every company values growth

Staff from your organisation will be briefed by a team of Kew experts before they get stuck into a range of practical tasks- clearing invasive shrubs, weeding, cutting and planting trees, potting or pruning.

Designed to be fun and informative, employee volunteering days not only help to motivate staff as they interact in a non-work setting but through your generous support also provides vital funds for Kew’s horticultural development programmes.

Costs depend on the size of the group and in return we provide refreshments and a free entrance voucher to all volunteers so they can show off the results of their hard work to family or friends. We'd be delighted to welcome you to Kew.

Corporate volunteering at Kew

As the corporate sector embraces social responsibility it is vital that companies are able to offer meaningful volunteering opportunities for their staff. It’s also important that companies communicate these responsibilities to the people who work for them.

Since 2007 and as part of HSBC’s Climate Partnership, Kew has helped to educate their employees about the impact of climate change on the plant world through a series of volunteering activities.

Community Teamwork Days

Corporate volunteering at Kew.

Maintaining a 300 acre site isn’t easy. Kew has well-trained expert staff, but sometimes a bit of extra help doesn’t go amiss. When Goldman Sachs Community Teamworks project needed a way to offer their staff volunteering projects that help build teams and get staff out of the office it was a perfect match. Goldman Sachs’ employees spend days here at Kew volunteering with our horticultural teams, helping with improvements and general maintenance of the 300 acre site.

Kew is taking part in the 'Big Give Christmas Challenge'

09 Nov 2012
This year, Kew is taking part in the 'Big Give Christmas Challenge', a campaign to encourage philanthropic giving by matching a donors’ gift. Effectively your donation to the Millennium Seed Bank Partnership could be doubled! We need to raise £50,000 for next year’s seed collecting trips, as well as expanding our work on using existing collections. Please note: This campaign ran from 6 to 19 December 2012 and has now finished.
