Get sponsored and raise money for the Millennium Seed Bank
Whether you are going to run a marathon and raise enough money to save a species all on your own, or gang up with some mates, here are some tips to help you raise money to ensure the survival of plant species.
Run a marathon, organise a cake sale at work or buck tradition by asking family and friends to donate to the Millennium Seed Bank instead of giving you wedding presents - there are an abundance of ideas when it comes to raising money to save an endangered plant species. It's easy and so much more fun supporting the work of the Millennium Seed Bank partnership with the people you love spending time with.
The first thing to do is set up your own personal webpage on the justgiving site (don't worry, it is easy and quick and you don't need any special web skills). Donations can be collected through the site - then invite your mates, your family and your colleagues to support you in your efforts to help rescue plants from extinction. You can even tell them using Facebook or Twitter. Whatever you do we hope it'll be a huge success and you'll have lots of fun. Together you can save an entire plant species - what an amazing achievement.
We'd love to hear your ideas and your stories and send us photos too! Join us on Flickr, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube to share your experiences.
