Help Kew protect the future of the world's plant life

For £25 you can adopt a seed in Kew's Millennium Seed Bank, or you can save an entire plant species from £1,000.

You'll receive a personalised certificate, featuring a picture of your plant species, as well as regular updates over the year from the Millennium Seed Bank so you can follow the progress of the important conservation work you’re helping to fund. Adopt a seed for £25

Kew's Millennium Seed Bank (MSB) holds almost two billion seeds of more than 30,000 species of wild plants from 140 countries. It is our most ambitious global conservation project.

The MSB not only safeguards plant diversity by storing seed from wild species, it also makes seed available for sustainable use in agriculture, horticulture, forestry and habitat restoration.

By adopting a seed for £25 you will be supporting the ongoing work of Kew's Millennium Seed Bank - our aim is to bank 25% of the world's plants by 2020.

You can choose your adopted seed from 15 plant species using our gallery - from UK natives, to rare plants from around the world. You'll also receive a personal Adoption Pack.

Browse our gallery (right) and click on the species name for more information and details of how to adopt.

You can contact us on adoptaseed@kew.org or 0208 332 3248 (Mon-Fri).
