Role

Phylogeny and taxonomy of Salicaceae (syn. Flacourtiaceae) and Achariaceae sensu lato.

Phylogenetics and taxonomy of Salicaceae (syn. Flacourtiaceae) and Achariaceae sensu lato, species to family level, including comparative plant biology (e.g. revision of tribe Oncobeae) and baseline plant diversity research (e.g. family accounts for Kubitzki’s ‘Families and Genera of Vascular Plants’, co-authorship ‘Flora of China’ (‘Flacourtiaceae’), checklist of the Southern Cone (‘Flacourtiaceae’ of southern South America). Production of interactive key to genera of Salicaceae sensu lato and Achariaceae sensu lato, as contribution to wider Key to Malpighiales. Gap-filling for Collections (Herbarium and DNA Bank) through liaison with Kew field workers and other institutes. Responsibility for Expeditions Store and administrative support and advice to/for Overseas Fieldwork Committee.
