Role
Biodiversity studies, community-based conservation, sustainable use projects and dissemination programmes in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Bolivia.
Current research is focused on the threatened dry forests of southern coastal Peru, with a particular focus on Huarango (Prosopis pallida) forest relics. Activities include reforestation initiatives, sustainable use of forest products, establishment of protected areas and community education/capacity-building.
