Monographic research on Poaceae for the second edition of ‘Genera Graminum’. Florisitic research on Poaceae with specialist interest in SW Asia (particularly the Arabian Peninsula, Egypt and Pakistan), southern tropical Africa (‘Flora Zambesiaca’), Northeast Africa (‘Flora of Somalia’), Macaronesia (‘Flora of Madeira’) and UK (‘BSBI Grass Handbook’) and world grass database.
