Role

Administrative support to Drylands Tropical America team and Kew Latin America Research Fellowship scholarships fund (KLARF).

Provision of support to staff of the Tropical America Regional Team and inter-departmental research group through implementation of the KLARF programme and other projects and initiatives, including project development work, liaison with partners, coordination of visiting researchers, reporting, dissemination, financial accounting & management and project activities. Project work within the Plantas do Nordeste programme is currently focused on the Sustainable Management of Fuelwood Trees in the Caatinga of Northeast Brazil, including support for and participation in annual fieldwork, planning, reporting and financial management. Support also given to education outreach abroad in the provision of technical support for a Brazilian NGO (as part of Vegetation Management for Conservation, Brazil), and specimen digitization for the Northeast Brazil repatriation website.
