Note: MacLeish (1987: 275) suggested that this species was in fact collected in Mato Grosso, not Rondnia as suggested on the collecting label.
Bolivia (Santa Cruz), Brazil.
Note: An examination of Mostacedo
et al. 1719 in USZ, determined by Robinson, in duplicate, as Eremanthus rivularis Taub., has shown
it is best referred to E. rondoniensis.
However, the determination of Mostacedo
et al. 1719 in Killeen & Schulenberg (1998: 240) suggests a mixed collection,
as it is determined as both E.
rondoniensis and E. rivularis. As
a result an entry for Pycnocephalum
angustifolium (Gardner) Macleish has been added to the present checklist as
it is not unlikely that this species is also present in Bolivia.
