Leaves finely divided into linear segments. Involucral bracts green with darker veins in center. Ligulate florets few, broad, deep yellow. Below true pramo on south side of high, flat p ramos; north of Ro Le n. Shrubs similar south side of Ro Le n above Oa. Alt. ca. 3000 m., Nudo de Cordillera Occidental y Cordillera Oriental, P ramos de Silvn, Prov. Azuay, Ecuador, July 30, Aug. 3, 1959. Holotype: US (2372899).
