Role
Systematics and floristics of Poaceae, especially Africa and China; and of Eriocaulaceae, with emphasis on Old World.
Floristic accounts for Flora of Tropical East Africa, Flora of Ethiopia and Flora of China (Grasses); and for Flora of Ceylon, Flora of Tropical East Africa and Flora Zambesiaca (Eriocaulaceae). Study of Brachiaria for a forage grass project in collaboration with CIAT (Colombia); collaboration with ILRI (Ethiopia) on data quality of forage grasses in their field genebank. Also, Portulacaceae for Flora of Tropical East Africa.
