Role
Conservation and sustainable use of plant resources in Africa. Chemotaxonomy of Aloe.
Engaged in activities of the PROTA Foundation, representing Kew, throughout the United Kingdom. Focused on an ongoing bibliographic survey of the tropical African flora. Pursuing a part-time PhD on chemical diversity in Aloe, in collaboration with the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Other research interests include the useful properties and conservation of the southern African flora. Contributions are made to teaching on the Kew/University of Kent MSc in Ethnobotany.
