Database manager for SEPASAL and international liaison with SEPASAL nodes to ensure data accuracy.
Editor of data on uses and use-related characteristics of dryland plants for the Survey of Economic Plants for Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (SEPASAL) database and developed the specification for database administration, data dissemination and remote data entry into SEPASAL via the Internet. Kew coordinator for the SEPASAL nodes in Kenya and Namibia, and National Programme Officer for PROTA (Plant Resources of Tropical Africa), with line management responsibilities for PROTA-UK Country Officer and African Wild Harvest (AWH) Kew-based staff member. Preparing research reports in response to incoming enquiries relating to useful dryland plants. Providing and coordinating input as required to the UNCCD/CBD Joint Work Programme on the Biological Diversity of Dry and Sub-Humid Lands.
