Role

Curation of the herbarium collections for the families within the Commelinids section.

Naming of incoming material for these families, with a particular interest in West Africa. Identification of monocot families collected by the Wet Tropics Africa team from botanical surveys. Preparing specimens for mounting as well as laying away mounted specimens. Supervising volunteers and visitors to the section. Processing incoming loans of specimens and preparing outgoing loans for other institutions worldwide.
