The overarching objective of eMonocot is to produce a web-based treatment of all monocot plants available to biodiversity and environmental scientists, volunteer biologists, the general public and schools. In doing so, the project helps to deliver Kew’s mission by revolutionising taxonomy and the mechanisms by which biodiversity information is delivered. The team is gathering and creating taxonomic content for online delivery and working closely with taxonomists and software developers.
