Role
Co-evolution in the fig-wasp model system: a phylogenetic approach.
Research is focused on using molecular techniques to build a comprehensive phylogenetic hypothesis for Ficus (750 species, Moraceae), which will then be used to study classification, patterns and processes of diversification and co-evolution with the pollinating wasps in one of the best model systems for the comparative biology of mutualism.
