The role is in supporting the development and implementation of the Millennium Seed Bank’s partnerships, projects and networks. This is done with a particular emphasis on delivering ex situ plant conservation, and enabling use of these collections through, e.g. involvement in habitat restoration and the improvement of livelihoods. The work includes developing, implementation, monitoring and reporting of projects and networks, as well as maintaining productive relationships with partners and other stakeholders. The role also involves identifying funding sources and developing funding proposals for these projects. As Chairman of the ENSCONET Consortium, I maintain and expand the strong relationship within the European partnership that the European MSB partners developed during the previous FP6 funded ENSCONET project and strengthen the connection between the Millennium Seed Bank and the European partners.
