Role
Curation of SE Asia and Pacific herbarium collections; Tropical botanical identification; Urticaceae systematic research.
Curation and maintenance of herbarium collections of the South-East Asia and Pacific Team; dealing with enquiries and visitors to the section; assisting in the identification of new material and developing general plant identification skills. Databasing and imaging of specimens as required.
Teaching assistance given on the Tropical Botany Course run annually at Kew and periodically in SE Asia. Systematic research into Poikilospermum (Urticaceae) in Peninsular Malaysia. Regular fieldwork in various countries (e.g. Vietnam, Borneo, Sumatra).

- Assessing and conserving plant diversity in commercially managed tropical rainforests in Sabah - COMPLETED 2010.
