Role
Co-ordination of a seed collection programme in the UK through cooperation with a range of organisations and individuals, in accordance with priorities to strengthen seed bank collections and support restoration activities via the UK Native Seed Hub.
To provide advice and/or training to UK seed collectors to ensure that appropriate collecting protocols are followed and collections are accessioned with appropriate field data.
To initiate, manage and deliver programmes of seed collection and plant propagation of selected UK priority species in support of in situ restoration and recovery projects.
To advise on the curation and regeneration of UK collections and to contribute to strategy and decisions on RBG Kew’s local ecological restoration projects.
