Digital Collections Officer, Herbarium
This role involves the curation of the Kew Herbarium Digital Collections, including manipulating and integrating project, research and curatorial datasets into Kew’s central specimen data repository. The position encompasses the management of the Herbarium digitisation facilities and the maintenance and development of digitization procedures and documentation. This includes providing training and procedural guidance to new staff and visitors.
In addition to providing support for current digitization activity this role assesses problems relevant to digitization, such as data quality, procedures and hardware/software failures. The continuing development of Kew’s digitisation resources contributes to delivering Kew’s mission to accelerate global access to plant diversity information.
