Role

Quality control of traditional medicines via chromatography and spectrometry technologies; Chemosystematic implications of compounds found in Iris spp.

Phytochemical research of selected natural products based on their traditional use in the benefit areas and high-throughput screening results. In-vitro bioassay-guided fractionation leading to isolation of active compounds, which supports the development of new healthcare products. Structures of novel compounds determined mainly by means of MS (mass spectrometry) and 1D & 2D NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) spectroscopic techniques.
