Role: 

Team Leader responsible for the maintenance and development of decorative and botanical collections and displays in the Rock Garden (location 154), Aquatic Garden (location 152), Wall Border and Salvia Collections (location 155 03 and 155 05).

With Slawomira Wojtas a Botanical Horticulturist in Hardy Display, responsible for the design and maintenance of the Salvia display, composed of two borders with the aim to represent the garden worthiness and geographical diversity of the genus. The cultivation of this diverse genus provides a beautiful mid to late summer display for visitors as well as providing material for research carried out at Kew on Salvia phylogeny, phytochemistry and biological activity.

Rock Garden collection maintenance of 2500+ accessions planted geographically in 11 sections, including development of collection, sourcing new accessions, planting design and rockwork repairs. A predominantly natural source collection, the aim is to cultivate plants from the mountainous regions of the world and provide a resource for scientific work. Recently work has been carried out on the Iris spp. and Paeonia spp.

Development and display of the Aquatic Garden collection of over 40 hardy Nymphaea species and cultivars as well as a collection of Marginal and Aquatic plants.
