Role: 

South-East Asian and Pacific/Orchidaceae curatorial support;  Latin American Plants Initiative.

(Currently) Curation and maintenance of South-East Asian and Pacific herbarium collections, including preparation for mounting, sorting, identification and incorporation of new material; re-curation of material according to published revisions; processing of loans to and from the Herbarium, databasing as required; dealing with enquiries and visitors to the section; Systematic research into Systellantha (Myrsinaceae) and the development of tropical plant identification skills.

(From March 2010) Curation of Orchidaceae herbarium material, including selection of specimens for loan to other institutions; preparation of specimens for inclusion in Herbarium and Spirit collections; overseeing and assisting visitors to the Herbarium; verification of living material from Central and South America; databasing of Orchidaceae specimens for outgoing requests from other institutions and associate researchers, and of Orchidaceae types and Lindley Herbarium. Undertaking botanical fieldwork in Australia and Indonesia.
