Kew magazine wins at the GMG Awards
Kew magazine won the Environmental Award at the GMG Awards at The Savoy in London (26 November). The award was for a piece by Stephanie Pain called 'Saving for the Future' on the UK National Tree Seed Project, which appeared in the spring issue.

This award-winning film shows how scientists at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, are collaborating with scientists in Ethiopia (Arabica coffee originated from here) to understand how climate change is affecting wild Arabica coffee plants.

Pineapple (Ananas comosus)
Pineapple is the world’s third most important cultivated tropical fruit after bananas and citrus. It is an excellent source of vitamins A and C and potassium.
Pineapple can be seen growing at the northern end of Kew’s Princess of Wales Conservatory, in the moist tropics zone.
