Nature's Finest Months at Kew: Bulb Burst 2007

10 March – 22 April 2007

Many people believe that talking to plants will help them grow, but perhaps it's only at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew that the plants talk back. The annual flourishing of spring is always impressive, as the normally green landscape turns to a sea of colour. In 2007, however, visitors will not only be treated to a visual spectacle but also be able to dial a number from their mobile phone and listen to one of Kew's horticultural experts describe the ins and outs of the plants that make up the Gardens' display of 5 million bulbs.

Although the star attractions will always be the plants themselves; the incredible carpet of crocuses and chinodoxa and the flanking corridors of daffodils, Kew will also host a great line up of activities to celebrate nature's finest months. A stunning exhibition of photography and features commissioned from the UK's top photographers and writers celebrating the success of Kew Magazine will fill the Nash Conservatory exhibition space and is set to give a striking visual insight to Kew's horticultural, science and conservation work.

To make a trip to Kew at spring time stand out even more on any group's 2007 calendar, parties of between 10 and 50 can be taken on a tour by one of the World Heritage Site's knowledgeable guides. With ample opportunity to put questions to the expert the tour is personal and friendly presenting the facts and stories behind the world famous plant collections, the site's unique architecture and intriguing history.
