Kew's new Garden Shop is a breath of fresh airThe Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew has just opened a great new shop, which offers visitors the chance to relax in a tranquil open-air corner of the Gardens whilst they wander through a host of exotic plants and fantastic garden decorations. In the new Garden Shop, rather than the usual bedding plants you will find plants from across the world, that have been selected for low maintenance, so you can impress your neighbours with pineapple trees in your front garden or citrus trees around your patio If you are looking for the unusual, there is host of elegant and traditional hand made garden equipment, including elm forks made from one branch and elegant 100 year old rice baskets from China. As a memento of your visit why not buy a high quality clay pot, available in a variety of attractive colours and glazes and bearing the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew seal. So next time you are visiting the Gardens, take ten minutes to explore Kew's Garden Shop, tucked away in a leafy corner behind the Victoria Gate Centre. The Garden Shop is open daily from 10am until half an hour before the Gardens close. Proceeds from all retail sales help fund Kew 's vital science and conservation work around the planet. Kew Gardens opens daily at 9.30am and currently closes at 6.30pm on weekdays and 7.30pm at weekends.
