The Big Draw at Wakehurst Place 2005
Saturday 8th, 15th & 22nd October
Last year, Wakehurst Place was the South East Launch site for the Big Draw
Campaign which aims to run Drawing events in the month of October for all ages
and abilities across the U.K.
This year working together with “Kartoon-Kings” Grennan and Sperandio,
we are holding the event over three Saturdays in October, the 8th, 16th and
the 22nd.
Everyone is invited to participate in the workshops, which can be found around
the garden. Activities are drop in and will run between 10 am and 4pm.
Well Rooted Workshop
Using sand, chalk, charcoal and other natural materials from Wakehurst, visitors
will be invited to “grow” a full- size outline of a tree on the
ground.
Wall Flowers
Drawing on information and materials from Wakehurst Place and the Millennium
Seed Bank; add your nature painting to a developing mural started by artists
Grennan and Sperandio.
Mystery Drawing Trail
A mystery trail taking in all areas of Wakehurst, you are invited to discover
and decipher visual clues.
Micro to Macro

form the basis for to a large-scale drawing on clear acrylic panels.
