Another titan arum flowered on 4 May

This titan arum is an unexpected flowering, coming from a small corm of 'just' 27kg. As a result, the flower itself is relatively small, at just under 2 metres. For a full flowering sequence see some of our previous timelines.

The flower opened the previous evening, and by 9.30am the spadix had already collapsed, possibly due to the exceptionally warm weather, or perhaps the small size of the corm from which this flower arose.
