Jojoba
This leathery-leaved evergreen shrub can live
for over 200 years!
Known for the liquid ‘wax’ contained in its seeds (or
nuts), Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) is used as a natural
remedy to soothe skin.
Its usefulness was discovered from Native Americans who used the
nuts in medicine, cooking and decoration. Now there are many plantations
of Jojoba in arid regions of the world.
