Spring bulbs

How do you plant that many bulbs?

In the autumn turf is lifted over large areas where bulbs are to be planted. Bulbs are scattered by hand and left where they fall to help create natural drifts. The turf is then replaced and top-dressed with soil. In this way 8 members of staff can plant over 40,000 bulbs per day.
