Millennium Seed Bank Parterres

The eight parterres outside the Millennium Seed Bank illustrate habitats under threat in the UK and link directly to the UK Flora project of the Seed Bank. Four beds represent habitats found between the Sussex coast and Wakehurst Place. The other four illustrate habitats threatened in the UK, but not necessarily near Wakehurst Place. There is also an indoor planter which represents the overseas collection programme, showing dryland plants from around the world.
