Saving wild plant species in Jordan and Lebanon

Kew's Millennium Seed Bank partnership is working in collaboration with partners in Jordan and Lebanon to collect the seed of wild plant species for long term conservation and research.

Our aim is to establish a well-documented seed collection of wild plant species indigenous to each country. Our focus is on conserving threatened and useful plant species. The goal is to collect around 35 species from each region new to Kew's Millennium Seed Bank, located at Wakehurst Place, West Sussex each year.
