The Millennium Seed Bank Project

Simona Birtić

I am a graduate biologist (Diplôme d'ingénieur, Ecole de Biologie Industrielle, France) and also have an MSc in Environmental Diagnostics (Cranfield University, UK). I am currently registered at the University of Sussex as a PhD student. My supervisors are Dr Ilse Kranner (Kew, Wakehurst Place) and Dr Steve Pearce (University of Sussex). I attempt to identify molecular and biochemical markers of seed viability with a particular interest in Programmed Cell Death.

Simona at the GC-MS.
