At Kew, we know that plants and fungi are the very basis of life; they are the food that we eat and the air that we breathe. That’s why we do everything in our power to protect them. Kew is more than just a Garden. We are safeguarding life on Earth.

Although we receive around half our income from the government, every year we need to raise as much again. That's why our extraordinary and important work would be impossible without the support of people like you.

Help us to safeguard life on Earth

In a world that is facing the challenges of climate change, habitat destruction, disease, and ensuring food and fuel security, our need for practical solutions becomes greater every day.

Plants and fungi are critical to our survival. Not only for food, fuel, shelter and medicines, but also for regulating our climate and the environment that we live in.

Kew is an international plant science research powerhouse, employing over 250 scientific staff and 40 PhD students. We focus on understanding plants and conserving the world's plant life, and invest in crucially important conservation projects such as the Millennium Seed Bank Partnership.

By donating to Kew, you are supporting our vital science and conservation work, helping to make discoveries happen and inspiring new generations to learn about plant science.
