Description:

Most living things can be divided into Plants, Animals and Fungi. (There are other groups for microscopic life forms.) Plants are living organisms that can make their own food using water, some simple chemicals from the air and soil, and the energy from the sun. Plants produce everything that other living organisms need to survive - nearly all life depends on plants. Most plants are green (or at least have parts that are green) because the chemical that catches the sunlight's energy to make food is green.
