Description:

Brambles have spiny stems, and leaves with 5 or 7 leaflets. The pinkish flowers are pollinated by insects. The fruit is the blackberry. Bramble spreads using its arching stems that root when they touch the ground. The spines act like grappling hooks, helping the plant to scramble up other shrubs.
