Description:

Oak trees can grow to a very old age, up to 1000 years. Oak leaves are lobed. The flowers are pollinated by the wind. The fruits are acorns. Jays and squirrels love acorns, and will bury them to store over the winter. They forget where they've hidden some, so these 'ready planted' acorns can grow in spring.
