Description: |
Tadpoles hatch from frogspawn, and turn into frogs. They live in ponds and eat algae and other pondweed when they are small, then eat other small animals as they get larger. As they mature, they lose the gills that help them to breathe underwater, lose their tail, grow legs and turn into frogs. |
