Guided Walks

There are daily guided walks leaving from the Mansion carriage ring each day at 11.30am and 2.00pm (subject to the availability of a guide). These take in plants of seasonal interest and cover some of the fascinating history of the estate. They are free to garden visitors and do not need to be pre-booked. Full details from the Visitor Centre on arrival.

Pre-booked tours for groups

Garden Tours

Guided walks are available at a cost of £25 per group of up to 25 visitors, payable in advance to secure the services of the guide. The tours last about one-and-a-quarter hours.

For groups of foreign visitors requiring a tour, if numbers are greater than 25 the tour operator will need to provide two interpreters.

We have a limited number of guides available and whilst we endeavour to meet your requirements, at busy periods during the year this may not always be possible: hence an early booking is advisable.
