Herbarium Techniques and Management 2007

In 2006, Kew worked with the Herbarium of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Istanbul University in Turkey, to present a two-week Herbarium Techniques and Management course. The aims of the course were to provide staff training and to increase awareness of international procedures and regulations within Turkey’s general herbarium community. The course brought together 36 participants from Turkey, Turkish Cyprus, Bulgaria and Greece.

The 2007 course in Herbarium Techniques and Management took place at the National Herbarium of Trinidad and Tobago at the University of the West Indies in St Augustine, Trinidad. Among the 25 participants from Trinidad, Tobago, Guyana, Antigua and Jamaica were foresters, herbarium technicians and managers, horticulturists and educators.
