Sharing Kew's expertise
Kew is working with its partners to build global capacity for conservation by sharing its knowledge and expertise, to enable and support the development of local skills, experience and resources.
Kew provides specialised short courses in plant conservation, outside the UK, to meet the needs of partner organisations in particular regions.
Kew's Millennium Seed Bank offers training in seed collection, conservation and management of ex-situ seed collections, to partners, collaborators and other institutes.
Kew supports the implementation of international conservation legislation through training and the development of policy manuals.
Kew offers specialist training to provide professional development for botanic garden managers and educators, herbarium technicians and managers, and plant conservationists.
Research opportunities are provided alongside Kew’s science teams for PhD students and post-doctoral researchers. Kew also works to inspire plant scientists at masters and undergraduate levels.
