School of Horticulture - facilities
Lectures for the Kew Diploma are delivered by a balance of Kew experts and other specialists, either in the classroom or on study tours in the UK or overseas.
Venue
The Kew Diploma operates from the School of Horticulture which is a large Decimus Burton-converted eighteenth-century Grade II listed building within the Gardens.
The building provides fully-equipped lecture rooms, a laboratory, a design studio, computer suite, library, common room / kitchen and administrative offices.
The adjacent 200-seater lecture theatre in the Jodrell Laboratory is used for major conferences and seminars. Students also have access to the extensive resources of the Royal Botanic Gardens, including the main library which has one of the finest collections of botanical books, journals and archives in the world.
Student accommodation
There is a limited amount of residential accommodation available to some 1st year students at Gumley Cottage on Kew Green. Students not offered a place at Gumley Cottage will be responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements.
