School visits at Kew Gardens and Wakehurst
Bring your students to Kew Gardens and Wakehurst Place. School visits offer programmes for students in all stages of education and support many disciplines including Science, Geography, Art, Citizenship and more.
Kew Gardens
Kew Gardens offers the perfect outdoor classroom. The 132 hectares offer a range of habitats for exploration - from the diversity of the Conservation Area to the extensive Arboretum and the Rhizotron and Xstrata Treetop Walkway where students are eye-to-eye with the canopy.
For many schools and colleges, coming to Kew is the highlight of their year.
Wakehurst
Bring your students to Wakehurst and use 188 hectares of country estate in West Sussex as your classroom for the day.
On our estate you will find amazing ornamental gardens, temperate woodlands, wetlands and an Elizabethan Mansion. You can also visit Kew's Millennium Seed Bank to see scientists at work and discover how Kew is helping to safeguard the world's most endangered plants.
Wakehurst offers a series of curriculum-linked school visit programmes. Each visit is planned in detail to meet your requirements. We cater for every age group, from students at nursery school through to students at university.
