Thank you for all the kind comments you have sent us about the new format for the Newsletter. It seems to have been very well received. A further development which we have now succeeded in doing is to put the Newsletter on to Kew’s World Wide Web Server. For those who do not have access to the necessary computing facilities we will continue to print the Newsletter as usual.

Your ‘Notulae Cyperologicae’ are also still welcome. We are considering sending future contributions to an external referee for comment before finally accepting for publication. We would appreciate your views on this which you can, of course, give us when you return your questionnaire.
