New American Orchid Survey Graduate Fellowship
The American Orchid Society is accepting applications from graduate students working toward their Ph.D. degree on orchid-related dissertations for a new American Orchid Society Fellowship ($9,000 per year for up to three years). This new fellowship is being generously underwritten by the Furniss Foundation.
Interested candidates should submit an outline
of their project, college transcripts, a letter of
recommendation from his or her chairperson, and a
brief, one-page statement of the value of the project
and its impact on the future of orchidology. The
deadline for submission is 15 April 1998. The
successful candidate will be notified by 15 June 1998.
